Junior Law Division

The Junior Lawyers Division was recently launched in Birmingham. It was decided at this meeting that all TSG reps, from both regional YSGs and TSGs , would retain their position on the national committee. This means that both the BTSS and Birmingham YSG will continue to be represented.

In order to cut costs the JLD will only  be holding three meetings a year . At these meetings policy issues affecting young lawyers will continue to be discussed it will also be a chance for local groups to network and obtain ideas from each other.

The JLD committee elections will be held in July next year. If anyone is interested in standing for a position on the new committee then I would suggest getting involved at a local level and registering their interest in spring 2008. If anyone has any policy issues that they would like me to bring up at the next meeting, please contact me Helen Tringham
