  • BTSS CHARITY MARATHON PLACES
  • For those of you looking for a New Year challenge why not enter the 2008 London Marathon? Applications for the general ballot have now closed but the BTSS' nominated charities have offered BTSS members 6 Gold Bond Places for the 2008 London Marathon.

Acorns are offering members 4 places, the applications for which will be drawn from a ballot on or around 13 December 2008. Successful applicants would have to commit to raising £2000 each.

West Midlands Lupus Group (WMLG) have 2 Gold Bond places left and are offering them to members on a first come first serve basis. WMLG asks that runners raise a minimum of £850 each and commit to wearing the WMLG vest whilst running.

Both charities would be willing to provide Gold Bond runners with help and ideas for raising the required sponsorship. The 2008 London marathon website also contains useful information about raising sponsorship money and about the event in general (http://www.london-marathon.co.uk/).
