Hi, I'm Ricky and I'm your Chair for the year. I am a first year trainee at Shoosmiths. It is my plan to work together with the other committee members to raise the profile of the BTSS and improve the benefits for you as members. Secretary - CATHERINE YULE
I'm Cat and I'm your company secretary. I'm currently in my second seat at Martineau Johnson. I studied history and politics, followed by my CPE at Birmingham Uni. I went on to do my LPC at the College of Law and went travelling in the summer before starting at Martineau Johnson last September.
As your company secretary, it's my job to organise the committee and to ensure that the 2008 annual dinner is the best ever. I really want to hear any ideas people have about preferred themes and music so please feel free to email me with any comments or questions

Treasurer - BEN WOOD
Hi, I’m Ben and I'm your BTSS Treasurer for 2008/2009. I’m originally from Rutland and moved to Birmingham for the GDL and LPC at the College of Law. Before this I studied Business at Cardiff. I’m now a second seat trainee at Cobbetts sitting in the Corporate team. I’m looking forward to the year head and aim to make sure that the BTSS finances are wisely spent on regular well-funded events throughout 2008/2009.

My name is Bejal Bhula. I am a first year Trainee at Mills & Reeve LLP and I studied Law at the University of Birmingham. Social Secretary - PIPPA EADEN
Hi, I'm Pippa. I'm a First year Trainee at Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP. I studied law at Bristol University and then did my LPC at Nottingham Law School. Have managed to squeeze in a couple of gap years travelling in between! I moved to Birmingham to start my training contract and even though I'm not a local have loved living here so far!
I am very sociable (good job really!) and I love any opportunity to do something new. I enjoy sports, shopping, theatre .. the usual! I'm very excited about being Social Secretary! If anybody has any ideas for events please get in touch and let me know and we will do our best to accommodate all tastes!

PR Officer - AMY SHAKESPEARE
Hi, my name is Amy Shakespeare. I am a first year trainee at Higgs and Sons, currently sitting in the Commercial Property department.
I did my degree at the University of Liverpool and my LPC at Birmingham College of Law. I took a year out before starting my training contract and went travelling across Australia and Thailand.
My role on the BTSS will to keep all you members updated with the weekly newsletter and to maintain and improve the BTSS website. I will also be trying to get publicity of BTSS activities and events. If you have any ideas, comments, questions or suggestions please contact me by email.

TSG Representative - HELEN TRINGHAM
Hello, I'm Helen your Junior Law Division and schools rep. I am currently in my first year at Martineau Johnson after taking a year out to go travelling around America, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Prior to this I studied Law at the University of Liverpool and completed the LPC at the College of Law in Birmingham.
My role is to represent BTSS members' views at a national level at the Junior Law Division. If you have any issues you would like me to raise please feel free to e-mail me.

Sports Secretary - NICOLA RAINE
Hi my name is Nicola Raine and I’m here to try and meet all your sporting needs. A bit about me: I love sport and I’m slightly over competitive. But mainly I love having fun and making sure everyone else is as well! Over the next year I want to try and introduce as many sports to the BTSS calendar as you want to participate in.

Liaison Officer - LAURA TWIST
Hi, I’m Laura Twist, BTSS Liaison Officer. I’m currently a first year trainee at Blakemores Solicitors in central Birmingham. So far I’ve done my employment, civil litigation and property seats and am now moving on to Injury and Insurance. I did my law degree at Liverpool University then moved to Birmingham to do my LPC at the College of Law and still live in the City.
I’m a confident, bubbly, sociable person who is always happy to help. I will be the first point of contact for new members and their firms along with many other institutions. I will also be working along side the other BTSS Reps to ensure that the BTSS remains the best TSG group in the UK. Any questions, drop me an email.

Charities and Corporate Responsibility Officer - ABIOLA FALOPE
My name is Abiola Falope and I am a first year trainee at Pinsent Masons. I studied Law at Bristol and completed the LPC at College of Law Birmingham. I am very excited to be the new BTSS CSR officer and it is a role that I will be very committed to. I hope to encourage members to get involved in volunteering and raising money for the charities we support and I am sure a lot of fun will be had at the same time.
